I just recently bought a 1TB Seagate external hard drive as my previous one broke, I’m having problems with it showing up my PS3, I’ve already formatted in FAT32, any suggestions on how to fix it?

  1. does it support usb 3.0 or the old usb 2,0? new hard drives that use usb 3,0 are not ps3 compatible do a lot of new hard drives are not going to work with the ps3

.Another point is that unless you created a partition less then 600GB and formatted that partition to fat32 the ps3 will not accept the hard drive , it can;t read anything larger than 500GB as an external hdd for some reason , I had that happen to me and after I partitioned the hard drive it worked fine
